Desert Trip from Casablanca to Marrakech

We drive to Fes, picking you up in Casablanca, where the private tour begins. En route, we stop in Rabat on an inclusive guided tour of the capital. We then proceed to Meknes for a visit of the impressive Roman ruins of Volubilis. In the evening, we arrive at Fes, in which you will have dinner and spend the night in a typical Moroccan riad/hotel. 

Today we will visit Fes, including the Jewish Quarter [Mellah], home to a beautiful synagogue, as well as the Royal Palace-the largest in Morocco. After lunch, drive toward Ifrane, a picturesque town often referred to as "the Switzerland of Morocco". En route, we'll visit Azrou, a Berber village nestled in the cedar forest, where you can watch for the scampering Barbary apes. Lunch will be in Midelt; afterwards, we continue via a pass-the Tizi Ntalghamt-to enjoy stunning views of the Ziz Gorges and Valley. Continuing through welcoming Berber villages, we will pass Erfoud and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga. Here, you'll take an escorted ride with a balanced camel-man across the golden sands, enjoy the breathtaking view of the sun setting over the dunes, and retire to your tent in a desert camp under the star-laden sky. You will have dinner served in the camp. 

We will wake up early to contemplate the nice sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, take a visit to Rissani and its marketplace-open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays-then continue to Erfoud for a view of the fossilized marble production. Further ahead is the Todgha Gorge; it's Morocco's highest and narrowest canyon. Have lunch and walk through the gorge to admire the great views. In the afternoon, we'll head for the Dades Valley, where we spend the night in Boumalne Dades. 

After breakfast, we will have some time to view the Dades Valley and leave for the Valley of Roses via the palm grove of Skoura and through the "One Thousand Kasbahs" road, where you can admire kasbahs dating back to the 17th century. After a few hours, we will arrive in Ouarzazate for lunch. If you would like to, we can visit the cinema studios and the museum of cinema in the afternoon. We'll arrive at Marrakech in the evening and transfer you to your hotel to end our 4-day Sahara camel trek tour from Casablanca to Marrakech.
